Job summary

Benchmark Human Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Dover, DE. You will support individuals with IDD in home, work, and community settings, promoting independence and inclusion.

Responsibilities include implementing IPs, assisting with daily living, coordinating healthcare with nurses, and documenting care plans. Requires valid driver’s license and flexible weekend availability; benefits include health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement IPs.
• Ensure health and safety of individuals during community activities and at home.
• Assist individuals to gain, retain or improve skills per IP.
• Assist with daily living tasks and personal care.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and document health information accurately.
• Administer medications as directed and coordinate with nurses.
