Job summary

Choices for People Center provides year-round support and programs to help individuals with disabilities develop essential life skills for inclusion and independence.

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will implement PCSPs, facilitate activities, assist with daily living needs, and promote participation in program and community events. Strong documentation and teamwork are required, with HIPAA compliance and a Missouri driver license often needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals served, families, employers, community partners, and team members.
• Ability to understand, follow, and implement Person Centered Support Plans (PCSPs).
• Ability to document services accurately using electronic systems and forms.

Responsibilities

• Establish a safe, respectful environment that supports individual choice and growth.
• Provide person-centered support per PCSP to promote independence and community inclusion.
• Deliver services and supports in alignment with policies and plans.
