Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at home and in the community. You will provide person-centered care, promote independence, and ensure safety and dignity in every interaction.

You will support daily living activities, maintain confidentiality, and accompany individuals to appointments while upholding HIPAA standards. The position is part-time and in-person.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of BSPs and home care practices.
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care needs.
• Proficient in tracking goals and applying individualized support strategies.
• Understanding of individual rights, advocacy, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility.
• Foster independence and community involvement for individuals with disabilities.
• Implement and adapt individualized care plans and behavioral strategies (BSP).
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment that protects individual rights and well-being.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other diverse needs.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Provide transportation and accompany individuals to medical, therapy, and community appointments.
