At Peace Health Care Agency seeks an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will support daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety and dignity for participants.

Qualifications

Experience as a Direct Support Professional; required.
Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs and BSPs preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Compassionate, dependable, patient, and adaptable.
Ability to assist with mobility and personal care needs.
Knowledge of person-centered care and individual rights.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
Implement individualized care plans and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs).
Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities.
Provide reliable transportation as needed.
Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
