Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will provide person-centered care, encourage independence, and ensure safety and dignity in every interaction.

You will deliver hands-on support for daily living, help with mobility and transportation, and implement individualized plans while safeguarding rights and privacy under HIPAA.

Qualifications

Experience with BSPs and home care practices.
Ability to assist with mobility and personal care.
Knowledge of rights and HIPAA compliance.
Compassionate, reliable and adaptable with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility.
Foster independence and community involvement for individuals with disabilities.
Implement and adapt individualized care plans and behavioral strategies (BSP).
Ensure a safe, respectful environment protecting rights and well-being.
Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other diverse needs.
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Provide transportation and accompany individuals to medical, therapy, and community appointments.
