Job summary

Venture Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community-based setting.

The DSP will assist with daily living tasks, accompany individuals to appointments, and support them to participate in community activities while following care plans. Paid orientation, CPR/First Aid, and MAP training are provided. This part-time role offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth.

• Reliability, compassionate approach, and ability to engage with individuals and families.
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing, with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to maximize independence.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as household chores, meal prep, shopping, and personal care.
• accompany individuals to medical appointments, banking, community activities, and outings; follow care plans and MAP guidelines.
