Job summary

Venture Community Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional in a behaviorally oriented residential setting. The role supports adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping with daily living tasks, transportation, and community involvement.

The position offers a pay rate of $17.50–$19.00 per hour with paid training and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff or $500 for part-time employees. A commitment to safety and quality care is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to assist adults with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with local community members and build connections.
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
• Able to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be as active as possible.
• Assist with household tasks, meals, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal care.
• Transport support and accompaniment to appointments and community activities.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans, and assist with medications as required.
