Job summary

ServiceSource in Oakton, VA is seeking an Employment Readiness Specialist to support adults with developmental disabilities in a specialized day-program. You will help participants build essential workplace skills and work toward meaningful community employment opportunities.

You will lead group sessions, coordinate work experiences with local employers, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with funding and CARF standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with people with disabilities is required.
• Valid driver’s license or access to reliable transportation is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Experience with supported employment services preferred.
• Experience conducting training preferred.
• Experience building partnerships with community organizations and employers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct engaging group sessions to grow participant skills.
• Coordinate work experiences with community employers (informational interviews, shadowing, tours).
• Gather feedback and update curriculum topics to improve satisfaction.
• Maintain partnerships with participant support teams and community partners.
• Complete documentation and ensure CARF compliance.
