Qualifications

• Two years of study at an institution of higher education OR demonstrate ability through assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• You will be working with a special education student and provide instructional support per the IEP.
• Candidate must be a high school graduate and know SPED principles and instructional support techniques.
• Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary, plus good oral and written communication.
• Maintaining a current CPR and First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance across a variety of subject areas as outlined by IEP.
• Support the student with reading, writing, and mathematics per district practices.
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans and documenting progress.
