Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus two years of study (48 units) or equivalent
• Associate’s or higher degree or equivalent qualifying assessment
• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics under supervision

Responsibilities

• Assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students with mild to moderate special needs
• Tutor individual or small groups of students and support behavior management in the classroom
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and provide routine clerical support
• Support placement in designated special education programs such as SDC, RSP, or Inclusion

Education

High school diploma or GED plus 48 units

Associate’s degree or higher

Demonstrated knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics
