Job summary

Campus High School seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to provide direct support to students with significant needs, implement IEPs with fidelity, and maintain confidentiality at all times. The role requires collaboration with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure instructional continuity and safety.

The paraeducator will assist with assessments, data collection, and daily living skills, while supporting transitions across classrooms and environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college (48 hours) or an associate degree or verified assessment.
• TB testing as required by Health Department regulations.

Responsibilities

• Engage students in classroom activities and reinforce learning objectives under the supervising teacher.
• Administer tests, homework, and make-up work to support teachers.
• Assist students in both special education and general education settings.
• Assist with scoring tests, keeping records, and preparing reports as required by the teacher.
• Support classroom setup and integration of technology.
• Maintain confidentiality and document health concerns as needed.
• Participate in meetings and in-service trainings for job function updates.
• Communicate with staff and parents to evaluate progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Follow IEP-based behavioral plans and positive behavior supports.
