Job summary

Bellevue School District is seeking a Para Educator IV to assist students within specialized programs. The role emphasizes daily living skills and safety, with direct academic and behavioral support as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP components, supporting independence, and data collection. Requires First Aid/CPR and completion of required paraeducator coursework; district offers comprehensive benefits and 195-day schedule.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• OSS Paraeducator requirements: ETS Paraeducator Assessment, AA degree, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits, or completion of an apprenticeship.
• Foreign degrees accepted if evaluated by a NACES member company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and safety needs of students.
• Provide direct academic, functional, vocational and designed instruction.
• Support students with disabilities in various settings and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
• Help collect data and implement IEP components as required.
• Support staff through coaching and resources as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and case managers to support post-secondary goals when applicable.
