Job summary

Qualifications

• AA degree in Speech and Language Pathology Assistance (accredited by relevant bodies).
• Six months of field experience or 100 hours of clinical internship in Speech and Language Pathology.
• Prior experience with elementary age children is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing speech therapy services to students according to IEP goals and plans.
• Provide direct treatment assistance under supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Prepare therapy materials and equipment for classroom use.
• Assist with development of IEP goals and objectives for students.
• Adapt or modify materials for student needs in the classroom.
• Schedule activities and maintain charts/records/data.
• Attend IEP meetings and present findings with SLP approval.
• Utilize a second designated language as assigned.
• Drive to various sites to conduct work.
• Assist with hearing screenings under supervision.
