Job summary

PREP ASU Preparatory Academy is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to support therapy services for eligible students. This role involves conducting screenings, providing treatment assistance, and documenting student progress under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's Degree and relevant certification, along with at least two years of experience in a therapy setting. Strong communication skills and knowledge of speech therapy practices are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience working with children in a therapy setting preferred.
• Arizona SLPA certification required.
• Valid Arizona DPS-Issued IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language screening without interpretation.
• Provide direct treatment assistance per the supervising SLP’s treatment plans.
• Document student progress towards meeting established objectives.

Skills

Knowledge of speech therapy theories

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively under supervision

Education

Associate’s Degree with a Speech Language Pathology Assistant certificate

Bachelor’s Degree in speech pathology or equivalent
