Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks a Speech Language Therapist to plan and provide direct therapy to students with speech, voice, or language disorders in a California school setting. You will assess students, develop IEPs, and deliver targeted therapy to support educational goals.

Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, updating progress, and handling required paperwork while adhering to state policies. Schedule varies by school selection and location in Fresno area.

Qualifications

Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Current Driver’s License.
CPR/BLS certification.
Current Negative TB result.
Willingness to pass a background check and drug test.
Fingerprinting may be required.

Responsibilities

Assess students with speech, voice, or language disorders and determine eligibility for services.
Develop annual IEPs and complete 3-year re-evaluations.
Create daily speech therapy schedules and provide individual/group therapy.
Collaborate with teachers to plan classroom-based language activities.
Evaluate progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy.
Assist in selecting materials and supplies for diagnostics and therapy.
Maintain ongoing communication with parents, teachers, and administrators.
Complete district paperwork and develop professional skills.
