Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Speech Language Therapist to plan and provide direct therapy to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. You will assess students, develop IEPs, and deliver individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers to implement language-enhancing activities, monitor progress, and complete required district paperwork. Compliance with district policies and professional standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Current Driver’s License.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Negative TB test on file.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Fingerprinting is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess students with speech or language disorders and determine eligibility for services.
• Develop annual IEPs and complete 3-year re-evaluations.
• Develop daily speech services schedule.
• Plan and provide individual and group therapy to students per IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to improve oral and written language skills.
• Evaluate progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
• Assist in selecting materials and equipment for diagnostics and therapy.
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents, teachers, and principal.
• Complete all paperwork required by the district.
