Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Speech Language Therapist to provide direct therapy to students with speech, voice, or language disorders in Fresno, CA. The role involves assessment, IEP development, scheduling, and collaboration with teachers to improve language skills.

You will assess eligibility, develop annual plans, and maintain compliance with district policies and required paperwork, while advocating for students and participating in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of California.
• Current driver’s license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Negative TB result.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Fingerprinting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess students with speech/language disorders and determine eligibility for services.
• Develop annual IEPs and complete 3-year re-evaluations.
• Plan and provide individual and group therapy per IEP goals.
• Develop daily speech services schedule.
• Collaborate with teachers to improve oral and written language skills.
• Monitor progress and determine readiness for termination of services.
• Assist in selecting materials and therapy supplies.
• Maintain required paperwork and communications with parents and school staff.
• Demonstrate professional, ethical behavior and advocate for children.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
