Qualifications

• Active state licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Negative TB result.
• Successful background check and drug test.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Assess students with speech or language disorders and determine eligibility for services.
• Develop annual IEPs and complete 3-year re-evaluations.
• Develop daily speech services schedule and provide individual and group therapy.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to improve oral and written language in students.
• Evaluate progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy.
• Assist in selecting materials and supplies for diagnostics and therapy.
• Communicate with parents, teachers and principal; complete district paperwork.
• Develop professional skills and comply with laws and district policies.
• Advocate for all children and youth.
