Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Licensed Family Therapist for its Pediatrics Developmental & Behavioral Health program in Macon, GA. The role supports patient care through counseling, treatment planning, and collaboration with guardians and community agencies.

The position requires a Master's in a relevant field, licensure within six months, CPI/CPR training, and will involve documentation, discharge planning, and ongoing clinical assessments. Full-time, day shift, 40 hours per week with benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant human services field is required.
• Must have associate licensure and/or certification within 6 months of employment.
• Successful completion of CPI and CPR training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with guardians and community agencies to meet patient care needs.
• Assess patients' problems, needs, and functioning level.
• Write treatment plans based on diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation.
• Provide psychotherapy using evidence-based techniques and development principles.
• Assist individuals, groups, and families through the counseling relationship; treat mental disorders.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Present cases in clinical team meetings clearly and concisely.
• Coordinate discharge planning and plan of care with next provider.
