Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is seeking a part-time tutor to support students in reading, mathematics, and writing at partner schools in Meriden and Hamden. You’ll diagnose skill gaps, collaborate with school staff and families, and implement prescribed instructional methods using our curriculum.

You will deliver targeted lessons, develop lesson plans, supervise sessions, and maintain student records while attending trainings and meetings to ensure program delivery meets standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or 48 semester hours / 72 quarter hours.
• Licensed CT teacher credentials.
• Must complete FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate and conference with parents on student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of students during sessions.
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required.
• Attend and document meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
