Job summary

Reach Services in California is seeking a Training Assistant to support individuals with disabilities in learning daily living and vocational skills. You will help implement objectives, oversee routine tasks, and accompany participants to community activities.

Expect to document progress, participate in team meetings, and promote independence under supervision. A CA driver’s license and the ability to lift 50–80 pounds are required; CPR/First Aid training is provided by REACH.

Qualifications

• Interest in and willingness to learn issues related to training and vocational needs of individuals with disabilities and adaptive needs.
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid CA driver’s license with good DMV record.
• Ability to lift 50–80 pounds; CPR and First Aid training may be provided by REACH.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing vocational, independent living, and group living skills objectives as per participant plans.
• Provide direct instructional support, document progress notes, and participate in staff meetings.
• Transport participants to activities in the community and support daily routines.
• Follow REACH safety policies and contribute to program development and staff training.
