Job summary

Vocational Visions seeks a Direct Support Professional 1 to coach adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in supported employment settings. You will travel across Orange County to worksites, provide on-the-job coaching, promote independence, and help build workplace skills and self-advocacy.

The role emphasizes documentation, communication, and collaboration with families and service coordinators to achieve successful employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
• Ability to document accurately and manage records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized job coaching and on-the-job support to adults with disabilities.
• Travel across Orange County to coaching sites in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• Assist in developing workplace skills and self-advocacy; maintain accurate documentation.
• Support employers and staff with disability awareness and accommodations.
