Job summary

Banning Lewis Ranch Academy (BLRA) seeks a passionate Special Education Teacher for our elementary program. This on-site role requires a Colorado license, a strong IEP focus, and the ability to collaborate with general education teachers, families, and district staff to support diverse learners.

You will deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals, monitor progress with data, and participate in IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field is required.
• Colorado Special Education teaching license is required.
• Knowledge of special education law and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, specialized instruction aligned to student IEP goals in pull-out and push-in settings.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs with high expectations and rigor.
• Support access to grade-level content through accommodations, modifications, and scaffolds.
• Implement evidence-based interventions in literacy, math, and behavior.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to ensure growth.
• Develop, write, and implement compliant IEPs and participate in IEP meetings.
