Job summary

ECS4Kids (formerly Episcopal Children’s Services) seeks an Assistant Teacher to join the ECS4Kids team in Georgia. You will assist with lesson planning, support safety, and engage families to promote holistic development in young children.

Under the Center Manager and Lead Teacher, you will implement the Head Start curriculum, supervise children, and collaborate with staff to foster cognitive, social, and physical growth in a nurturing classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with CDA credential or a related degree within 2 years of hire.
• Assistant Teacher I requires National CDA credential or state certificate meeting CDA requirements.
• Experience in early childhood education and Head Start knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Monitor children to ensure safety and well-being.
• Greet and communicate with families; support parent involvement activities.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher; participate in staff meetings and coaching.
