Job summary

Alay Home Care is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in New Jersey. You will provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and help with community engagement to improve quality of life.

You will assist with ADLs, support social activities, and help implement care plans while maintaining documentation and ensuring safety. A valid driver's license and background check are required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or DSP role preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication (if certified).
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
