Job summary

Alay Home Care is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in New Jersey to help individuals with developmental disabilities gain independence and improve their quality of life.

You will provide hands-on support, emotional encouragement, and assist with daily living activities, community engagement, and documentation. This role offers both full-time and part-time options with day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or DSP role preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication (if certified).
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
