Job summary

Alay Home Care in New Jersey is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving independence and improving their quality of life. As a DSP, you will provide hands‑on assistance, emotional support, and community engagement.

As a DSP, you will help with daily activities, support in community integration, and maintain accurate records while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous caregiving, healthcare, or DSP role experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients in community integration and social activities
• Administer medication (if certified)
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
• Implement individualized care plans
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment
