Job summary

Alay Home Care in New Jersey is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with developmental disabilities achieve independence and a better quality of life. You will provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and promote community engagement.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, supporting community integration, documenting progress, and following individualized care plans to ensure safety and well-being.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or DSP role preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients in community integration and social activities.
Administer medication (if certified).
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
Implement individualized care plans.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
