Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. As a DSP, you build relationships, encourage independence, and help people reach personal goals.

Qualifications

• Previous DSP or direct-care experience required
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal transportation
• Ability to pass background checks
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth
• Support individuals with IDD and ASD
• Follow ISPs and BSPs
• Encourage socialization, community participation, and meaningful activities
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, work, and community activities
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and goal tracking
• Protect individual privacy and maintain HIPAA confidentiality
• Provide reliable transportation when required
