Zusammenfassung

YAI is seeking compassionate Direct Support professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey. You will support personal goals, facilitate social connections, and ensure safety and health in daily activities across various settings.

Responsibilities include following Behavior Support Plans, maintaining records, coordinating medical appointments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifikationen

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with limited points.
• Ability to meet physical demands and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration as required.

Aufgaben

• Assist individuals to maximize strengths and build positive relationships.
• Support personal goals and facilitate community connections.
• supervise and protect individuals, follow program guidelines and safety protocols.
• Provide crisis management and health/safety supervision as needed.
• Use person-centered plans and BSPs/ISPs in daily support.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized therapeutic environments.
• Assist with medication administration and inventory.
• Coordinate medical appointments and keep logs updated.
