Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. is seeking Direct Support professionals in Florida to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings.

You will provide supervision, support, and help promote independence and choice, following individual plans and reports. The role offers $19.50 per hour, requires a valid driver's license and pre-employment background/drug screens, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license with endorsements and at least 3 years driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent as required by work location.
• Minimum one year of experience in human services in allowed locations.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports any suspected abuse or rights violations.
• Provides support, assistance and supervision to meet individuals' needs per plans.
• Ensures training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Ensures health, safety and well-being of individuals are protected at all times.
• Provides a positive environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Follows positioning schedules and uses proper equipment per plan.
• Assists with diet, texture and equipment as required.
• Keeps homes and vehicles maintained and organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
