Job summary

This Direct Support role provides essential supervision, support, and advocacy to individuals per their plans, ensuring safety, dignity and independence. The position requires a valid driver’s license, background/drug screenings, basic computer skills, and prior human services experience for some locations.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with endorsements and have driving experience.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in the human service field (where required by work location).

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights.
• Provides support, assistance and supervision to meet individuals’ needs and goals per plans.
• Ensures training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Protects health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Provides a positive environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Assists with positioning, equipment and diet as per plan.
• Maintains homes, outside areas and vehicles in good condition.
