Job summary

YAI is seeking a DSP 1 in New York to provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help with personal care, medication administration, and adherence to individualized service plans, in a supportive, community-based setting.

Work within an interdisciplinary team to monitor health and safety, document progress, and participate in trainings. The role requires compassionate communication and adherence to HIPAA and program policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a DSP 1 in a YAI program.
• Must hold SCIP-R and CPR AMAP certifications; YAI certifications maintained.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have relevant experience with I/DD populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide health, safety, and personal care support in various settings.
• Implement person-centered plans, BSPs, and IPOPs to support individuals.
• Collect and document data on behaviors and progress in the EHR.
