Job summary

YAI in New York, NY seeks a DSP 1 to support individuals in a variety of settings, ensuring safety, dignity, and personal rights. You will implement person-centered plans, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to a responsive, professional team focused on community integration.

You will work under supervision, applying BSPs and IOPs, while maintaining infection control and fostering advocacy and skill development for the people we support.

Qualifications

• Performs duties of DSP 1 with focus on supervision, safety and support for individuals.
• Delivers person-centered care per individual plans and rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, ADLs, and daily living support.
• Administer medications as prescribed per guidelines.
• Implement and train on Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and IOPs.
• Ensure infection control and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with meals, transportation, and community activities.
• Collaborate with team to maintain program effectiveness and safety.
