Job summary

Guardian Residential Services Llc in Triangle, VA is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, CNA, or Patient Care Aide to provide one-on-one support to a young adult with developmental and medical needs in home and community settings.

This role focuses on independence, daily living support, and meaningful community participation, with a schedule on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:00pm to 10:00PM and pay of $18.00-$19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Willingness to complete agency onboarding and training.
• Ability to provide personal care assistance.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional attitude.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including assisting with transfers and mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and activities of daily living.
• Minimum of 1 year of behavioral experience.
• Assist with medication administration and health-related tasks as trained.
• Support mobility, transfers, and safe use of adaptive equipment.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
• Accompany and support the individual during recreational, educational, and community activities.
• Assist with communication using adaptive communication devices (training provided).
• Support behavioral, social, and life-skill development goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency policies and procedures.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and person-centered environment.
