Class LTD is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Coach) in Pittsburg, KS. This full-time role requires helping individuals with disabilities with daily living activities, companionship, and transportation within a group home setting.

You will assist with medical needs, monitor safety, and support clients toward greater independence. Training is provided; a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Pass a background check for criminal offenses and child/elder abuse.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for individuals with disabilities, including companionship and daily living assistance.
• Coach on coping strategies and help clients complete daily tasks.
• Assist with basic medical needs, household chores, and transportation.
• Monitor safety and well-being; advocate for independence and integration into employment/home settings.
• Distribute and record medications as prescribed by the client’s physician.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
