Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in San Antonio, TX is seeking dedicated IDEA Academy teachers to help students master academics and social skills essential for college success. You will set ambitious goals, deliver rigorous instruction, assess mastery, analyze data, and collaborate with families to support learning.

You will plan and deliver state-aligned lessons for 3rd-5th grade, monitor progress, participate in after-school activities as needed, and uphold IDEA values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Teaching certification in TX or applicable state.
• Experience in K-12 classroom setting preferred.
• Strong content knowledge and instructional skills.
• Ability to manage diverse learning needs and behavior.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous instruction aligned to state standards.
• Assess student mastery and track progress toward goals.
• Analyze data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Communicate progress with families weekly.
• Maintain consistent behavior management and school engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide initiatives.
• Fulfill after-school duties and tutoring as needed.
• Spend 40+ hours weekly at school and participate in meetings.
