Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas is seeking an energetic teacher to help students master academic and social skills needed for college. You will plan rigorous instruction, assess mastery, and adjust timely to boost achievement while upholding IDEA values.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, K-12 teaching experience preferred, and TEA-aligned credentials. You will collaborate with families, lead after-school activities when needed, and engage in ongoing professional development to support student

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.
• TEA requirements: Reading Academies certification for K-3 or willingness to obtain required TX training.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Effective facilitation and personal use of technology to support achievement and tasks.
• Implement a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Help shape a school-wide culture fostering a productive learning environment.
• Establish cooperative relationships with students and families based on trust and respect.
• Host tutoring sessions to meet students’ needs.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, and after-school duties.
• Engage in district, school and personal professional development.
