Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in San Antonio, TX, seeks dedicated IDEA College Prep Teachers to ensure students master academic and social skills needed for college. You will set ambitious goals, track data, and deliver rigorous daily lessons aligned to IDEA standards.

You will foster a culture of accountability, provide feedback, and support students through dual enrollment, AP/IB opportunities, tutoring, and family communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Deliver content and grade level curriculum and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate progress with students and families on a weekly basis.
• Establish and maintain a behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Support a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student.
• Collaborate with families and students to foster trust and understanding.
