Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks an Early Education teacher dedicated to helping students master core academics and social skills to prepare for college success. Teachers plan rigorous instruction, assess progress, and adapt to meet every learner’s needs.

The role includes state-aligned curricula, weekly lesson planning, regular progress communication with families, and after-school tutoring opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Certification in Reading Academies per TEA requirements or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines.
• K-3 classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred, ESL certification also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track each student’s progress with formal/informal assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate student progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, and school-wide events.
