Job summary

Atlanta Public Schools seeks a 1:1 Special Education Paraprofessional at Beecher Hills Elementary School. The role provides in-person and virtual instruction, organization, and behavioral support to teachers and students to promote achievement and engagement.

The paraprofessional assists with instruction, supervision, and implementation of interventions, fostering inclusive learning environments for diverse students in K–12 settings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 60 college hours earned at an accredited institution.
• OR a High School Diploma or GED with passing scores on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test.
• Must hold or be eligible for paraprofessional certificate issued by Georgia PSC.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to teachers with classroom management and small-group instruction.
• Assist with lesson implementation and preparation of instructional materials.
• Support student learning and behavior through positive reinforcement and SEL practices.
• Assist with assessments and student recordkeeping.
• Supervise students to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and families to support attendance and engagement.
