Job summary

The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Case Manager for the EmpowerHER program at the Queens Community Justice Center in New York. You will monitor and manage a caseload of participants, coordinate referrals to voluntary services, and maintain detailed records to support pre- and post-plea compliance.

You will also facilitate groups, liaise with attorneys and service providers, and contribute to on-site program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–4 years of case management experience.
• Bilingual English–Spanish strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete intakes and assessments for EmpowerHER participants.
• Facilitate on-site groups for program participants.
• Provide comprehensive case management to a caseload of mandated participants.
• Provide voluntary referrals to address substance use, mental health, trauma, housing, and vocational needs.
• Coordinate with service providers to facilitate referrals and follow-up.
• Maintain client and group information in electronic databases and hard files.
• Build relationships with outside service providers to increase referrals.
• Monitor compliance and report to court stakeholders; coordinate with defense and prosecutors.
• Oversee EmpowerHER Alumni Council and mentor program graduates.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and trainings; assist with data management and grant reporting.
