Topeka Presbyterian Manor in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise LPNs and aides. The role emphasizes resident-centered care in a faith-based, not-for-profit community.

The RN will ensure compliance with current standards and advance the value that the resident comes first, fostering a home-like environment and comprehensive support for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current active license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Previous experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long term care community or other related health care facility and geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Ensure care is in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
