Cambridge Intermediate School in Cambridge, Minnesota is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant to support students with behavior and academics. • High School Diploma/GED and passed ParaPro/Para Educator testing (or 60 college credits) required.
• A successful background check is required.
• Prefer experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Work with students throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics.
• Refocus the student in the classroom, de-escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior.
• Work cooperatively with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
• Work to increase independence in children.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher.
