Job summary

Abode is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide worksite placement, case management, and employment services for program participants. You will recruit work sites, support participants with job readiness, and help secure employment opportunities that align with individual goals.

The role emphasizes IPS-based practices, dignity, and self-advocacy, with on-site responsibilities and potential for hybrid/remote options depending on supervision and duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent field experience.
• 2 years of experience providing employment and job development skills to people with disabilities.
• 1 year of field experience with people with serious mental illness, individuals with co-occurring disorder and/or the homeless population.
• Driver's license and clean DMV record required.

Responsibilities

• Be the on-site IPS expert and develop supportive employment programs.
• Assist participants in securing full and part-time employment.
• Coordinate job fairs, applications, resumes, and employer outreach.
• Develop employment goals with participants and support retention.
