Job summary

Pathways is seeking an Employment Specialist to deliver IPS-based employment and education supports within community settings. You will work closely with a treatment team to help adults with mental health needs secure and maintain competitive employment aligned with their goals and recovery plans.

The role emphasizes rapid job search activity, employer outreach, and personalized supports across job seeking, resumes, interviews, and onboarding, with travel as needed in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or higher with relevant experience.
• 2+ years in job coaching, job development, or education/vocational services.
• Experience with IPS supported employment principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants in community settings to build collaborative relationships for employment/education goals.
• Develop individualized employment/education plans with participant input.
• Conduct job development and job search activities aligned to participant interests and strengths.
• Make at least six in-person employer contacts per week in the community.
• Provide supports for applications, resumes, interviews, and onboarding as needed.
• Develop job support plans and update them as needs/games change.
• Ensure timely communication with participants, employers, and team members.
