Job summary

The Arc Prince George’s County is seeking an Employment Specialist to support individuals with disabilities in community-based job settings. You will train job-seeking skills, conduct assessments, and coordinate with employers to place people in suitable roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with at least two years in community-based job placement.
• Experience in community-based settings required.
• Able to problem-solve and assist in emergencies.
• Must drive personal vehicle with clean driving record.
• Must obtain CESP certification within six months if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Teach job-seeking, resume, interview, retention, and workplace skills.
• Provide at least two direct support contacts monthly.
• Conduct skill assessments and community-based task trials.
• Maintain employment contact records in the EHR.
• Develop employment opportunities based on individual interests and needs.
• Market and represent employment services to employers.
• Attend required trainings and maintain PCP documentation.
