The Arc Prince George’s County seeks an Employment Specialist to support individuals in independent, community-based job settings. You will provide job training, maintain employer relationships, and help optimize job matching for diverse industries.

Responsibilities include teaching job-search skills, assisting with resumes and interviews, and coordinating with employers to ensure effective supervision and supports. A bachelor's degree is preferred with at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with at least two years of community-based job placement experience.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions, including during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Teach job-seeking, application, resume, interview, retention, communication, and workplace skills.
• Provide direct support contacts monthly and maintain employment records.
• Lead career planning and arrange time-limited work experiences when appropriate.
• Develop employment opportunities based on individual interests and PCPs.
