Job summary

Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) seeks an Employment Specialist (Career Resource Specialist) to help individuals with diverse skills find meaningful employment in the Quincy area. You will guide students to develop goals, assist with resumes and applications, coach for interviews, and support them at job sites while providing transportation when needed; mileage is reimbursed.

This role offers daytime hours, some part-time flexibility, and a path into leadership via our Management Training

Qualifications

• Experience in high-touch customer service environments.
• Passionate about working with students aged 14+.
• Willing to travel within local community with a valid driver�s license.
• Available Monday–Friday during daytime hours; flexible for part-time.
• Comfortable documenting notes in an electronic system and using mobile apps.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Guiding students to develop career goals and objectives
• Helping students create a customized resume and complete applications for either jobs or school admissions
• Coaching and preparing for interviews
• Assisting students at their job sites to ensure success and independence
• Provide occasional transportation to interviews and other essential employment milestones, while supporting individuals towards independent community travel. (mileage reimbursement provided)

• Valid driver's license and comfortable traveling within your local community
• Monday - Friday, daytime business hours (flexibility offered for part-time)
• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device
