Work Opportunities Unlimited in Hershey, PA is seeking an Employment Specialist (Career Resource Specialist) to help individuals with diverse skills find meaningful employment. You will coach clients on resumes, applications, interviews, and job search strategies while connecting them with local employers and opportunities.

A typical day includes helping clients set career goals, teaching resume and cover letter preparation, and supporting interview readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-touch customer service environments.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable documenting notes and using mobile apps.

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives
• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews
• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities
• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
• Provide occasional transportation to interviews and other essential employment milestones, while supporting individuals towards independent community travel. (mileage reimbursement provided)

Additional requirements include:

• Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community
• Monday – Friday, daytime hours availability (flexibility offered for part-time)
• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device
